Copy ICC-profiles to: Macintosh HD/Users/[user name]/Library/ColorSync/Profiles
Note: In MacOS 10.13 (High Sierra) and newer versions the Library folder is usually hidden, but you can open it by pressing the alt-key down while you click Go from the menu line, and after that chooses Library.
Windows 10: Click by the right mouse botton at the ICC-profile and chose ‘Install Profile’ .

The best result for converting black/white and sepia toned images to CMYK is obtained by using GCR ICC-profiles. The settings to be used in Photoshop are shown on the screenshot below:
GCR (Grey Component Replacement) profiles replace the grey compoments made by the three primary colors (CMY) and replace it with black (K. In this way colourcast is avoided, i.e. that a picture changes from for instance reddish to bluish during the printing. GCR makes the grey tones appear uniform.
